What Distinguishes TimberTech
TimberTech produces a range of capped composite and capped PVC decking products. The capping technology — a protective polymer shell applied to all four sides of each board — is what distinguishes TimberTech's premium lines from earlier-generation composite products. Uncapped composite absorbs moisture at the cut ends and exposed surfaces; capped composite resists it. In Florida's humid, UV-intense environment, that distinction matters.
Deckmasters has installed TimberTech products on residential and commercial projects, including the Hard Rock Guitar Hotel in Hollywood, Florida — where TimberTech Advanced PVC was specified for the pool deck and cabana surfaces. The Advanced PVC line contains no wood fiber, making it the appropriate specification for pool decks and coastal applications where moisture performance is the primary requirement.
Advanced PVC (AZEK)
100% PVC — no wood fiber content. Maximum moisture resistance. The correct specification for pool decks, coastal properties, and any application with direct or sustained water exposure. Used at the Hard Rock Guitar Hotel.
Capped Composite
Wood fiber core with a four-sided polymer cap. Realistic wood grain appearance with enhanced stain and fade resistance compared to uncapped composite. Appropriate for covered and semi-exposed applications.

Maintenance
TimberTech capped products require no staining, sealing, or painting. Periodic cleaning with soap and water — and occasional use of a composite deck cleaner for stubborn stains — maintains the surface.
